The Moso Bag

Favorite weekend purchase=The Moso Bag.  I came across it in a little store (The Purple Tree in Hudson, for those of you who are nearby) and was immediately intrigued. It gets rid of bad smells in your home, car, your husband's raunchy gym bag, ANYWHERE.  It has amazing reviews and I'm convinced it's already working in our home.

"The Moso Bag is a natural, extremely effective air purifier that absorbs odors, bacteria, harmful pollutants and allergens. The Moso Bag also dehumidifies, which helps prevent excess moisture, mold and mildew."

The Moso Bag will last up to two years, to rejuvenate your bag put it in the sun for one hour once a month.

There are 3 different sizes of Moso Bags, the prices range from $9.95-$22.95.  A steal of a deal if you ask me considering how long they last.(shipping is only $1.99 on their website!)

Beauty Favorites

1. Moroccan Oil Conditioner- I noticed an immediate change in my hair when I started using Moroccan Oil.  I'm just using the conditioner right now but it smells great and my hair is already looking healthier.
2. Coconut Oil- There are so many uses for coconut oil, find 101 of them here.  Don't be alarmed when you first open your jar of oil, it is a hard consistency that melts as soon as it hits your hand(or place jar in warm water to liquify ).  I was pleasantly surprised when I realized I smelled like a giant sugar cookie after using it as an after shower moisturizer.  Something you can use as a moisturizer AND eat?  My life is complete.  If you have a Trader Joe's near you I highly recommend you purchase this from there.  It is much cheaper ($5-$6) there than I've seen anywhere else.
3.Revlon Custom Creations Foundation- I've been using this foundation for years.  It blends in nicely and doesn't dry out my skin or make it oily. I can't find it in stores anymore but I have had no issues getting it from Amazon.
4. Method Pure Naked Shower Gel- I'm trying to rid my daily beauty routines and eating habits of "dirty" things one step at a time.  This was an easy switch with this paraben, phthalates and EDTA free body wash that I found at Target (just check out the info above, I bet you'll start making changes too!).  I have the Magnolia scent and it's amazing!
5. Sally Hansen Mega Shine- I use this Shine Top Coat every time I do my nails and it immediately adds shine and makes my at home manicures last longer.
6. Kenra Platinum Silkening Gloss-My hair needed some major help in the shine department so I picked up this little diddy.  It smells great and adds the right amount of  shine without making my hair look oily.  It also works great for fly-aways. YES, please!
7. Victoria's Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss- This has been my favorite lip gloss for years and I'm pretty certain it will remain my favorite as long as Vicky's keeps pumpin' them out.  My favorite part about this lip gloss is that it stays on for a long time.  I especially love that because every time I put lip gloss on the song "my lip gloss is poppin' " pops into my head and a girl can only handle that shit so many times a day.

Headbands & Hadleigh

Hear ye, Hear ye! There's a new baby in my life for me to love on!
A dear friend of mine had her baby last week. They didn't find out what they were having beforehand so we all had our guesses, I never usually get a feeling either way of what the gender is but I had a very strong feeling that it was a boy.  The one time I get a feeling about it and it's WRONG, what the?!  Good thing I didn't have any money on that bet. Ohhh waking up to that text made my heart just about burst.  I immediately got on ordering this personalized blanket and went to get my headband making supplies.  I went into crazy auntie spoiling mode and no one could stop me.  The blanket mentioned above is my new go to for baby gifts. I gave it for the first time almost 2 years ago and it is still in perfect condition.  Sign up for emails and you will frequently get promo codes!

Back on track, the HEADBANDS...

Here's what I used:
  • Needle and thread
  • Flowers from the scrapbook section
  • Glue gun
  • Felt
  • Elastic

Steps:
  • Measure and cut elastic, I did between 12.5 and 14 inches unstretched so that she has a few to grow into.
  • Sew the ends of elastic together
  • Cut felt into a circle-about 1 inch should do it

  • Glue felt circle to underside of the elastic where the seam from sewing it together is

  • Put some glue on top of the felt circle and on the back of the flower, stick them together and voila!

For the pink and blue headbands I simply bought the headbands, clips, and bows separate(all from Michael's) and clipped the bows onto the headbands.  They can be unclipped just as easily if baby girl isn't feelin' the headband look.  Use clips like these to secure the bow to the headband...

I can't wait to watch this pretty little lady grow up!

I hope you're all having a fabulous week and continue to keep those affected by the horrendous things that took place in Boston yesterday in your prayers.
