With the warm weather (sort of) coming, I've been craving smoothies like no other. I started experimenting yesterday with the ingredients I already had on hand and this is what I came up with...
(Keep in mind, I was trying to make it low calorie. I resisted the temptation of throwing in peanut butter, M&Ms, leftover DQ cake, and chocolate syrup even though they were also things I had on hand and they were so desperately calling my name)
The honey helped to sweeten it up, I didn't use it to begin with but the Greek yogurt stuck out a little bit too much for me.
I just threw all my ingredients into the blender, put it on the smoothie setting, and blended it for about 30-45 seconds to get it the perfect consistency.

Yum Bre! Can you make me one now? Baby Elf is hungry and thinks this looks delicious. I usually do okay with greek yogurt but I have to put about a cup of honey in there just to try and cut that bitter taste from the greek yogurt. I have also been making lots of smoothies. We should swap receipes. I like the low fat vanilla yogurt better in smoothies (even though greek is better :/)

You tell Baby E that I'll make him a smoothie any day and that I'll even put regular yogurt in his because him and mommy don't need to worry about cals!:) I want to try some other tropical flavors so if you have any recipes send them my way! Love you!
